About Enjoy Waikato...

Hamilton - Something Really Did Happen

Over the last few years, the Hamilton restaurant and cafe industries have undergone somewhat of a revolution. Apart from just the remarkable transformation of Victoria Street's South End, we are now seeing restaurants and cafes springing up in the suburbs and nearby rural areas. Whether it is because Hamilton doesn't have a beach, a harbour, or a skytower, we don't know. But the concentration and ever increasing quality of dining available in the Hamilton, might well be second to no other in the country.

Chocolate or Cinnamon?

However, these changes have not just come from one side. Us customers have changed too. We step into cars just to go for dessert, and Sunday mornings just don't feel right without going out for a tasty brunch. What's more, no longer do we expect a filter coffee and a plain muffin when we visit a cafe. We want smooth velvety foam on our cappuccino and some sort of hard-to-define berry coulis drizzled over our exotic treats.

So, What's The Problem?

Well all this great food and coffee is a wonderful thing. The trouble is, not all restaurants and cafes are equal. We know this may sound pathetic, but there are few things quite so disappointing as getting a coffee that has detergent foam and tastes like bong water, or paying 25 bucks for something that looks like it came from the last minutes of a 5:30 session at Valentines.
